Announcing Chillography 201
Posted by Crispy | Filed under Events
Chillography is celebrating its one-year anniversary of diving deep into the mellow and we’re doing it with a sure fire format—a chillout day party, in a park, for free…. ’nuff said. Musically, we’re bringing back some Chillography favorites to treat us to the perfect soundtrack to a waterfront-breeze-with-grass-between-your-toes kinda day. Please join us with your picnics, hula hoops, long boards, frisbees, yoga mats, books, blankets, lawn chairs, sunscreen, and whatever else is it that makes for a great summer day in a beautiful Seattle park.
Welcome to Chillography 201
When :: Sunday, July 5, 2009, noon to 8 pm

Tom (0×86) and Gwen just gave birth to their new baby girl, Annika, this morning. We welcome this newest addition to the community with open arms and wish the new parents much in the way of chill vibes after a long night of labor. Happy Birthday Annika! =)
Chillography 201 donations

Huzzah! The City of Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation are sponsoring our event which significantly reduces our costs. Donations received thus far will be used to cover the remaining expenses. Thank you for all of your support!
We are very very close to being fully official with the city for Chillography 201 on Sunday, July 5th. Assuming the City of Seattle waives the park usage fees, this event will cost us $350-400 for insurance and gas. Please consider a donation to help us cover these expenses. We’d really appreciate it!
If you are willing and able, please go here to donate to the cause via PayPal.
Thank you!!!!!
The Art of Chillography

Those that have been to one of our events probably saw the banner sized version of this piece of art by our own DJ Eckoe. Numerous people have commented on how great it is (and rightly so!), so I thought I’d put it up here for people to get a better look at it. Creating digital art under the moniker Machine Elf, his art has also appeared on the 103 and 104 fliers with many more to come in the future. Head on over to his website to browse his extensive gallery. There are tons of great pieces in there.

It’s alive…

I pushed v2 of the Chillography site live on June 13, 2009, exactly one year from Chillography101. It was a completely non-intentional synchronicity, but a very fitting one. We enter our second year with a fresh (virtual) face and fresh ideas on where to push the idea of creating world-class chillout events. Looking forward to taking this most fantastic of voyages with you all.
Welcome to the new Chillography blog!

Hello world! I’m moving the Chillography site over to this blog format so that it’s easier to maintain and update. Plus, it’ll allow for some great ways to extend the site’s capabilities with RSS subscriptions and a possible Chillography podcast. I’ll be transferring all of the existing content over the next few days and phasing out the current site once it is all in place.
